What is Alpha 5.1
The VIBE Alpha 5.1 is a compact and affordable speaker package with fantastic sound quality, whilst avoiding the mistakes made by many other products on the market. The Alpha design is small enough to be discreet but big enough to perform the full sound stage demanded by modern day movies especially when mastered to DVD, and more so Blu ray. The design is elegant, timeless and sophisticated, the system can be worn with grills or without, not afraid to show off its speaker make up and technology.Most compact surround sound systems use small drivers ranging from 3” to 1” and in many cases have no tweeters; all hidden behind fixed grills. These types of speakers are limited in high frequency and low frequency sounds. Having no tweeter means massive limitation, compromising music and films by missing out the high detail. Equally using 3” midrange speakers will result in limited bass reproduction this in turn will leave a huge gap between the subwoofer and the speaker.
So many 5.1 systems on the market produce hiss and boom with little to no midrange detail. The VIBE Alpha speakers use a more substantial 4” speaker, straight away you will notice bass presence from the 5 speakers. Most importantly this 4” speaker is fast, concentrating on the upper mid bass sounds giving us sharp tight snap whilst the deep bass and slam is left to the subwoofer. The Alpha 5 speaker features nickel plated spring loaded speaker connectors that allow heavy gauge speaker cable to be connected to maximise signal transfer which improves sound quality.
The sound of the Alpha 5 speaker has been optimised with the addition of a concentrically mounted tweeter.
This driver arrangement not only allows the cabinet dimensions to kept to a minimum but additionally as the woofer and tweeter are perfectly aligned to create a “point source” which means that all of the sound originates from a single point. Subsequently dialogue is delivered with absolute clarity and coherence.

Features
The Alpha .1 features a bass level control that allows the output of the subwoofer to be perfectly matched to the Alpha 5 speaker by adjusting the output volume of the subwoofer until the perfect balance is achieved. It also features a crossover frequency control that can be set the users preference, deep bass only, deepbass and mid frequencies or anything in between.
The bass reflex Alpha .1 subwoofer features a dualflared turboport. This is far superior in performance to aregular port as the flares smooth the airflow in and out of the cabinet which results in lower distortion.
The Alpha .1 subwoofer features a removable grill that allows the system to be the feature point of your room or blend seamlessly into the decor of the room – the choice is yours.
